About Us

Here at Roche Pre-School Playgroup we offer an engaging environment where children can thrive.  Our over all ethos, is that children learn through play.

We are a small community driven setting, that works closely with our village.  We have a connection with the local CO-OP, Village Shop and Nursing home.

We understand that a parents role in a child's development is paramount and we always work closely with our families.

Our classroom provides a stimulating environment for children to explore freely.  We have lot's of open ended resources, so that children can create their own play.

Outside we have a large bouncy tarmacked playground and this area we continue to provide an engaging environment.

We have:-

  • A Bug Hotel

  • Mud Kitchen

  • A reading nook

  • 2 Storey playhouse

  • Outdoor classroom

  • Exploring cupboard - supporting fine motor skills

We also have a large shelter and two storage sheds full of exciting resources, such as:-

  • Bikes and Scooters

  • Balls

  • Sports equipment

  • Construction and small world resources

  • Natural items of interest etc.

Our local school is a few minutes walk away and we have a good relationship with them, often visiting for school transitions and performances.

We love to explore our local area, often visiting the park, duckpond and playing field.

To ensure we maintain ongoing communication with parents/carers, we use 'Tapestry', an online learning journal system.  We are also able to share messages and documents.
